Head over to #CCC49 Snapshot 01 to see CHOP PICU Fellows C. Hunter Daigle, MD present his work "Difficulty mask ventilation in critically ill children independently associated with adverse events." An underexplored, key skill for #PedsICU practitioners.

Let’s go viral with this one CHOP PICU Fellows

Today #PedsICU faculty, fellows, nurses, and staff joined with colleagues at Children's Hospital and Penn Medicine in a huge #WhiteCoatsforBlackLives demonstration. Our work must extend beyond just making sick children well — we must ensure a safe, healthy future for their families.

#PedsICU days on service often stop for nothing, but not today. Today we stopped and kneeled with our colleagues from Children's Hospital and Penn Medicine. We cannot remain silent in the face of a system that is so broken. Change is long overdue. #WhiteCoatsForBlackLive

L. Nelson Sanchez-Pinto, MD, MBI Adam Dziorny I would expect no less from Adam Dziorny, who has a long history of mathematics-related puns. Here he is after winning his middle school Pi Day competition in 1995, long before he was a CHOP PICU Fellows and #PedsICU faculty at Golisano Children's Hospital. #85digits #mathlete

CHOP PICU Fellows Just as good (or better) to leave patient attached to a ventilator during #CPR? Efficacy of prone CPR? Routine interruption of compressions during laryngoscopy: does first-pass success rate trump chest compression fraction? I don't know...but I hope we find out. #PedsICU

Think you're pushing hard and fast enough during CPR? Think again. This and more at our monthly Cardiac Arrest Debriefings - this time with the ICU-RESUS group! pediRES-Q Dana Niles Robert Sutton Vinay Nadkarni Heather Wolfe pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29533355/

The CHOP PICU Fellows are an impressive bunch! On M/W/Th we will be highlighting one of these future #PedsICU superstars. From burgeoning #MedEd leaders to #CPR disciples and some #Sepsis #ARDS #epidemiology lovers in between, these are people to keep your eye on!

Collaborative case conference today! #PedsICU and our Penn Medicine #PCCM colleagues came together to discuss pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension! We reviewed CT and Echo findings, acute management and discussed treatment options including #TPA and #thrombectomy.
