There is so much diabetes research to discuss that we have convened another patient meeting of the QMUL/Barts Health NHS Trust on Monday 14th June at midday gathering patient perspectives on Polypharmacy, multimorbidity and Artificial Intelligence. Can AI help to improve health?

We have just got the green light to start our new clinical trial for newly diagnosed adults with T1D. A new immunotherapy. We are trying to preserve those beta cells. Do you know someone very recently diagnosed in East London who is asking you what research is out there for me?

B after 3 months sick leave. How do I feel? Tired and not yet 100% but elated and proud to be working with my wonderful diabetes research team and our fabulous lay panel on improving health for people with diabetes. Coming back to work is the best medicine!

Are you going to Diabetes UK Annual Professional Conference because you manage people with T2D? Check out session 36 on Friday to hear the latest on Diabetes and Liver Health and how we can manage fatty liver disease.

Fantastic presentations from the Hepatologist at DUK yesterday. Thoughtful, provoking, creating lots of discussion and too many questions to answer. Let’s continue to move the T2D and screening for fatty liver disease to the next level. Thanks everyone!
