Sorry to hear of the passing of Billy Campbell Billy,a NI International,was player Manager of Linfield Mar 74-Oct 75 In his one full season with the Blues he guided Linfield to the Irish League title & lifted the Ulster Cup. They also reached the Irish,City& Texaco Cup Finals

Sad news. Former player Billy Campbell has died age 81. Signed from Dundee in 1970, where he was managed by Bobby Ancell, he would spend 4 years playing at Fir Park making 110 appearances. I can't find mention of him in a first team line-up during seasons 1974-75 and 1975-76.

Linfield Football Club are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former player-manager Billy Campbell, who has died at the age of 81. Campbell was a respected figure in the club’s history. During his time he managed to win one of Linfield's 57 Irish League titles.
