Howdy, WY! Last round of interviews for the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) Noble Research ... project linking soil/env health, grazing mgmt, and producer well-being is closer to home in this complex, vast, semi-arid, public-private-tribal land tenure context! And it has ok sunsets. :)

What is regenerative agriculture? The term is becoming increasingly common in food systems discussions, but lacks a formal definition. Ask what counts as “regenerative” & based on individual/context, you’re likely to get a different answer. bit.ly/regenagexplain… 1/

I moved a motion to debate the Govt giving $1.5B of taxpayer money to Middle Arm. Middle Arm will unlock Beetaloo for fracking + enable petrochemical production & gas exports. Terrible health risks for people in Darwin & ⬆️ emissions (Beetaloo = 3177 years of domestic gas use).

There really is no such thing as a “progressive ‘No’.” All of Lidia’s arguments about sovereignty & treaty being affected if we succeed have been debunked. And she hasn’t explained how losing could possibly help close the gap. There simply is no progress if Hanson and Co win.

Super proud to be contributing to the fantastic debates being held by TABLE on the agri-food system. Another iteration of our (Federico Davila @UTSISF ) recent research on the emergence of regenerative agriculture, tailored especially for food system actors

My latest article was published in The West Australian today. “The effective silencing of the Pilbara voice is consistent with the history of Indigenous voices since Federation. One government will establish a representative body; the next takes it away.” The West Australian

We're now up to 2,020 people with unfettered, 24/7 access to Parliament House. We have no idea who these people are. This is a huge transparency fail that doesn't live up to community standards. #SenateEstimates

The IEA Board has come from around Australia for a couple of days together to undertake forward planning for 2025 and meet in person for the first time ever to build team cohesion. We enjoyed farm visits to renowned regen farmer Martin Royds and the Mulloon Institute whilst here.
