Thanks for the article CMAJ Our pilot program showed that patients really appreciate being able to text their own primary care doctor and most of the 200+ participating docs liked it too. This is one place our health system needs to go next!

Minister Elliott has announced the Digital First for Health strategy. In the first phase, patients will be able to connect with their doctors via video visits using their own devices, and doctors will now be compensated just as if it were an in-person visit.
