So… today is the 10 year anniversary of a certain Dreamytime Escort leaving us way too soon. 10 years? Where did that time go?! Anyone have any plans to commemorate this day? Either way I will be raising a pint of gin to the man, the myth... the legend. Cheers!

So today was a scorcher! Decided to take the Dreamytime Van out for a spin since its recent repairs. Starter motor sorted? Check. Refurbished alternator attached? Check. Battery and electrical cabling? Failed. Got it home with The AA’s help. Now off the road again. More scotch!

An update! Vic the mechanic finally managed to fix the electrical wiring but on a test run it still conked out. Removed engine compartment & greeted by something "spurty". 2 holes in valve. Fixed but engine still isn't happy. More investigation needed ...and more scotch!

So this is the last thing you'd want to see in rear view mirror of your vintage Citroën... Or beside you on the motorway if you are driving in a vintage Trojan bubble car... Or crossing a pedestrian crossing... Or waiting in a hotel car park. But it still makes me smile to see.

Blimey it’s the end of January already? In last few months this page has lost 30 followers. Whether by leaving X or disinterest due to lack of updates? I work 60 hours a week in the NHS so time flies! Will try to add more stuff! So for those still here, thanks for your patience!

So it's been 6 weeks since the van's been started & driven as I've been so busy. The mighty 545cc roared into life on the 4th key turn! Result! Today was a scorcher so time to annoy other road users. Van needed some barmy fluid as it's thirsty work this highway driving! Cheers!

A very tidy, messy, noisy & stupid birthday today to “Mr Jolly Lives Next Door”! 37 years to the day since it first aired on Channel 4 on the 5th of March 1988. Thank you so much to all those involved in making this cult classic. I raise a pint of gin to you all. Cheers!
