Students celebrated "Dot Day" in Library last Friday! This day of celebrating creativity is inspired by Peter H. Reynolds' book, "The Dot."

Congratulations to Keira Ordonio on her perfect AP Drawing Exam score! Only about 1.36% of drawing exam takers receive a perfect score, and Keira can find herself in that elite group. A portion of her work can be found in the hallways of Jerome and the picture below.

Mrs. Edwards and her former 5th grade student, Miss Sladoje, now a Deer Run 2nd grade teacher, buddy up again, 20 years later! Their classes are also "buddies" this year, and enjoyed getting to know each other during their first meeting!

"Bucky" visited to get our kids pumped up for the Deer Run Run tomorrow! We can't wait! Don't forget to wear your grade level colors!

Congratulations to DRE third grader Anaika for being chosen as the winner across all schools for the Washington Township Fire Prevention Week poster contest!

The Girl Scouts motto is "Be prepared," and these local troops are living it! This week, #YourDublinPolice officers gave Justice Center tours for Troop 6794 and the dreDCSD troop, teaching them about calling for help in an emergency.

Love seeing the creativity that comes out of the art room. Declan created this "dinosaur museum" on a free-choice art day.

Deer Run 5th graders presented their annual Veterans Day assembly yesterday. The students did an amazing job and were so proud to honor our Veterans!

Congratulations to Whitney and Emery! The wonderful essays they each wrote on what Veterans Day means to them were chose as the winners of this year's 5th grade Veterans Day essay contest!

We are so lucky to have such an amazingly kind group of students and staff here at Deer Run! Today for National Kindness Day, students in Mrs. Alcox's 4th grade class even wrote and hand-delivered notes to every staff member in the building!

Big thank you to Mrs. Pawlowski for organizing such a wonderful career fair today! Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders loved seeing so many different exciting career options presented by DRE family and community members!
