I don't understand why Marte, on a grounder that Turang had to range a decent distance to field, isn't hustling down the line late in an elimination game down 2. In April/May, I at least kinda see why, but shit, man, you have all off-season if you get hurt already!

All the comments about 30 swings and misses...I guarantee the only thing Wheeler and the Phillies care about is the 0 next to the Mets name on the scoreboard. the only swing and miss that matters is strike 3.

More OKD garbage allowing the Dodgers to get a run back. I don't get why that shit is still being used with runners on at all, let alone at 3rd

I'm told that fundamentals don't matter in winning baseball bc analytics tell you what you need to win..also that Yankees are analytics heavy. Kind of makes sense that they make BOTH the first AND 3rd out at 3rd. They better hope it doesn't come back to hite them in the ass 🤦‍♂️

Watching Wells try to pull borderline pitches back into the zone and costing Gil possible strike calls is painful. On the walk to Thomas, ball 2 and 3 were both close enough to potentially get the call if he sticks it instead of yanking it over a foot.

Scoring on the Fry dribbler is exactly why I don't trust a lot of the starts anymore.. there's no way to justify giving Fry a hit on that play where he should've been out by at least 10 ft of the fed is better or Rizzo catches it

Might be an unpopular take; I have no issue with Torres being sent in that situation. Be aggressive, force the Indians to make a perfect relay to the plate to get him. Only time I hold him there would be down multiple runs late in the game

David Dryburgh (@drdry1121) 's Twitter Profile Photo

2 pitches yanked down by Wells..if he sticks the pitch where it was located, more likely than not he gets at least 1 of the calls

I'll give it to Carlos Torres..top 1 was a bit rough but he's been a lot better after that half inning. A little wife outside to lefties on breakers but he's been calling it the same way for both teams quite consistently.

I don't understand; why not bring Stroman in to eat as many innings as possible. If the Yanks start scraping some runs together to close the gap, shorten the least. Do NOT show the Dodgers Hill if you weren't going to use him last night vs Freeman. Keep something in the pocket

David Dryburgh (@drdry1121) 's Twitter Profile Photo

My opinion - Yanks success in gms 4 and 5 is directly linked to staying on the ball to increase contact. Fewer attempts to pull balls is the biggest reason the power is coming back (trying to hit HR is the best way to not hit them, or anything else)

What kind of defensive fuckery has this inning been? Should've been out of it with the 1 baserunner, 0 runs, and 15 pitches.. instead it's 3 runs and 27 pitches so far bc of doing an easy fb, rushing a throw, and not covering first??

I clearly don't have the credentials that Waino does, but this is something I've been saying I hate about the ground-up, OKD catching for the last 2-3 years and have been told I shouldn't focus on the glove anyways. Thanks Adam Wainwright for putting it more clearly than me lol

Watching the ball fly out of yards the way they have been this year (and the increased EVs across the board), I'm convinced of 2 things: 1. Pitching is worse than ever and 2. MLB manipulated the baseball again to turn it into a super ball effect
