1. A rock-created bird shaped chip on a car windshield

#Chestrad - Thoracic aortic aneurysm

- aortic lumen diameter > 40 mm (M:F=3:1)
- CXR: usually seen on both frontal & lateral, but hard to assess size accurately
- lumen dilatation +/- thin or thick +/- mural thrombus
- Tx: conservative vs surgery

The lateral view of knee radiographs in acute trauma is always “cross-table lateral.”

You will miss lipohemarthrosis on a regular lateral view (example here). Fortunately fracture was very obvious in this case.
