AAP comes out with comprehensive guidelines to treat childhood obesity. They have been getting bashed by the same people who blame patients with obesity for their disease. The ignorance will never end.

Study showing decrease risk of esophageal and gastric cancer after bariatric surgery. The health benefit evidence just keeps increasing.

I completely agree. If you are a doctor or nutritionist and haven’t read the guidelines and looked at the evidence; do that first. I’ve been outraged at all of the ignorant comments.

It is a shame. Actually the new drugs and metabolic surgery carry physiological changes that help treating persons with obesity. Poor journalism increases obesity stigmatization.

Whoever said “there is no such thing as a bad piece of pizza” has obviously never had a 7-11 pizza. Please don’t question my decision making skills. Long story.

It’s impossible to ignore the obesity epidemic. The generation to follow is looking worse off than the last one. No matter your opinion about obesity, common sense dictates that something needs to be done.
