So grateful for this artwork β€œVine of the Sea” from my friend Chris inspired by my grief councellor using a spiral analogy for grief and perspective over time. I lost my partner Kim to brain cancer. So talented and amazing with thoughtful and encouraging words to go with it πŸ’•

In loving memory of my partner Kim on World Cancer Day. Kim died last year from brain cancer (glioblastoma). Thank you to the oncologists, nurses, surgeons, palliative care team and volunteers for caring for him. Hope this day highlights the need for more funding for brain cancer

Lovely to catch up with my consumer Neil Pennock co-founder of the TLR Foundation. Neil is a huge advocate for stem cell donation. You could save the life of someone with blood cancer. Donating is easier than you think. Go to the website tlr.org.au

National Science week. Female group leader/ senior lecturer unfunded and no job. Despite winning national awards this year and with 20 years experience. Working casually as a demonstrator. We need more funding to support female leaders who have had career disruption! πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸ”¬πŸ§¬πŸ§«

Wish all the money spent today on a horse race went to the homeless, to people with mental health issues, to people with cancer and other debilitating illnesses, to support people with disabilities and their carers and to fund medical research. Just saying 😳
