Met a 103 year old women who takes 0 daily medications and only consumes supplements. I asked her about her take on prescribed medications and she had a very interesting response: "People get mad now when they leave the doctors office without new meds"

A young man was weed eating my 90 year old patients yard and he was clearly rushing, missing spots. My patient looked at me and said “half-ass work. They wonder why they’ll always be labor.” Harsh. But important. Take pride in what you do, no matter how small. It compounds.

If you don’t use it you lose it. As we age we lose power, and the less you stimulate the faster you lose it. Box jumps are one of my favorite explosion movements: 3-5 sets of 6-8 jumps at near max height once per week

Just saw a 23 year old patient with a TBI following a car accident. She is now nonverbal, unable to perform any voluntary movements and fully dependent on family. Never fucking take getting out of bed for granted. Keep moving.
