Absolutely this! #Breastfeeding is about so much more than breasts when you're a #neonatal family. I still hold my many, many hours of #expressing #breastmilk to tube feed our #preemie as one of my proudest achievements. Support for all the many ways to feed is so important.

I was back on the #NICU where our journey started today, to give a parent #education session about #FICare. I absolutely love that my #FamilyEngagement role with NNN enables me to do things like this, all the more special when it's the home of our own #preemie story. 🙏

Today is #InternationalNeonatalNursesDay. My mind is always blown by the complexity of the role of a #neonatal nurse. The #human and #clinical skills needed in balance. #FICare nursing means enabling a #family to become a unit, even in the face of #trauma. What a role to play!
