Huge thanks Stephanie Heys @SusanRhind1 Mikey Foster and the rest of the North West Ambulance Service #PROMPT faculty - delivering key maternity CPD for staff on this complex and challenging patient cohort. Very well structured and excellently delivered !! The lunch was good too Chris Grant 👍

Lots of analysis & opinion on the complex issue of ambulance handover delays. The busiest (by far) ED for North West Ambulance Service is East Lancs NHS. Claire Hey is the ED Lead Nurse and says “it’s simple, we don’t hold ambulances”.

I just want to say thank you to everyone North West Ambulance Service for all your efforts so far over the weekend. In the North West alone yesterday we received just short of 25,000 999 and 111 calls. Exceptional efforts from everyone involved in unprecedented times.

The GIRFT for Emergency Medicine SEDIT now has three more tabs: two ICS overview pages and the new SEA-IT (the Summary Emergency Ambulance Indicator Table). We hope that you find them useful! ⚖ Mark Damian Harrison, 45 from Salford, shouted racial slurs at a North West Ambulance Service paramedic in August last year after being transported to Salford Royal Hospital for treatment following an injury. He was jailed for 8 weeks, which was uplifted from 6 weeks for racial aggravation.

Senior clinicians from North West Ambulance Service came to meet & give a letter of thanks to one of our students, Ibby, took charge and managed a person who had a serious medical event which was not related to placement. We are so proud of him! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #amazing @UCLan @BryanJones15

First day for almost 100 students about to start working across GM for North West Ambulance Service. Genuine highlight for me - given the sheer capability and dedication in that room.

Been at numerous talks & presentations in my career. Genuinely can’t remember such a humorous, poignant yet powerful talk delivered by College of Paramedics Tracy Nickell You rarely get to choose your leaders but you can choose who to follow. Will work out how I can be a better follower
