Thank you Spencer Freeman for your truly kind words. I now have two brothers in the ATL area. It's truly an honor to work with you on PICS advocacy, but also just to know you as a human being. People across the world are learning about PICS because of your efforts. Keep it going!

This morning I rode 10 miles in Orlando, FL for ARDSALLiance’s Miles for Marybeth event. I encourage you to watch my 2 videos and to learn more about acute respiratory distress syndrome here: ardsalliance.org .

Congratulations to the newly minted Dr. Natasha Lavender, graduate of UCF Nursing. I was honored to hood her today at the university commencement.

If you live in the Orlando area your invited to join our WALK4PICS September 28th Sunday at 10AM. Ron Jennings Kirsten Harrell Carolyn Rogers

PICS is silent, but its impact is loud—stealing strength, memory, and hope. That’s why we walk. For change. For research. For survivors. walk4pics.com | tinyurl.com/ypw6akwr Spencer Freeman Barbara VanMeter Ron Jennings Jim Jackson Dale Needham, MD, PhD Dr. Brian C. Peach

I'm proud of my friend Spencer Freeman who has gone from being on death's door nine years ago to beginning a master's program this week Emory Public Health. He continues to inspire other survivors and those of us doing PICS research. Way to go SGF!

I recently had the opportunity to discuss PICS with some of Orlando's outstanding crit. care nurses at the Sept Metro Orlando Chapter of AACN meeting. Hearing that we can do better by our patients in the acute care setting is a tough message to receive, but they were eager to learn and I'm grateful.

Thank you to all those who contributed to the 2nd Annual Walk4Pics Orlando walk! Whether you were a sponsor, volunteer, or attendee, you made this event special. Please continue to help us spread the word about post-intensive care syndrome. UCF CON Metro Orlando Chapter of AACN AdventHealth
