Myth: Seeds only work to contain cancer for 10 years, after which the cancer can come back. Fact: The radiation has a lifespan and destroys the cancer cells. Once the cancer cells are destroyed, a patient can remain cancer-free for a lifetime. chicagoprostatecancer.com/pages/myths

Q: When can I return to work? A: Most patients take a day or two off work. We do not recommend lifting over 10-15 lbs for the first 2 weeks after the procedure. This is a minimally invasive, one-time, outpatient procedure with no incisions or stitches. chicagoprostatecancer.com/pages/FAQ#16
