Today I had a fruitful meeting with my Egyptian counterpart H.E President Abdelfattah Elsisi as part of my state visit. We discussed how to further strengthen our two sides security, cultural, economic & trade cooperation for a future of common progress & prosperity for our people.


We are grateful to World Bank for approving $100 million USD of budget assistance after the Federal Government of #Somalia fulfilled all the agreed economic reform conditions. I was proud to sign this new agreement today and it will truly assist in financing our future priorities



It was a pleasure to welcome Finance Minister-elect Dr. Elmi M. Nur to Ministry of Finance today. We discussed the status of #Somalia's economic reform program and the opportunities for further development going forward.


Today I handed over the leadership of Ministry of Finance to my successor Dr. Elmi M.Nur MP in the presence of OPM Somalia 🇸🇴 Hamza Abdi Barre.
