English speakers aren't "bad at language learning". This rhetoric is such a cop out and gives students another excuse to not learn a language, making the job of language teachers so much harder! Great article from Abigail Parrish theconversation.com/young-people-i…

Loved this article by Abigail Parrish - confirms my belief that linguistic aptitude is not absent in UK students, but the environment & culture that surrounds us is too centred around a single culture/language. Not healthy for building a globally integrated & diverse society!
