A consequence of chronic calcineurin inhibitors (CNIs) is nephrotoxicity. Our findings provide evidence of divergent calcineurin signaling pathways & suggest that selective CNIs could improve the long-term outcomes of patients by mitigating renal side effects.Aswathy Miriam Cheriyan Liz G nonacademic PhD

Super rare ovarian tumor. A big thank you to one of my favorite pathologists (Dr. Qiang Xie) for sharing this case. Positive: beta-cat (nuclear), BCL1 (diffuse), CD10, WT1. Negative: calretinin, inhibin. If you know the diagnosis, take a stab at it in the comments! #GynPath

Excellent job! This is an example of signet ring stromal tumor, one of several B9 stromal tumors that mimic metastatic signet ring carcinoma. I show #UVAPath residents this case as a pitfall when discussing metastasis in my mucinous ovary talk. Keratin negativity helps!
