أكد Dr Ahmed ZOUITEN ممثل WHO Libya خلال الاجتماع التشاوري لاستكمال مشروع تحسين النتائج الصحية للأطفال المصابين بالسرطان #ليبيا "يندرج دعم WHO Libya بتمويل من National Oil Corporation المؤسسة الوطنية للنفط في إطار مبادرة المنظمة لمكافحة سرطان الأطفال وزيادة نسب المعافاة و البقاء على قيد الحياة بحلول 2030". 👇👇

Today, World Health Organization (WHO) Rep. in 🇱🇾 participated in a joint visit to Al-Kufra alongside the DSRSG, RC/HC for Libya Ms. Georgette Gagnon Georgette Gagnon - جورجيت غانيون, @UNHCR, @IOM, World Food Programme and UNICEF Representatives.

During a meeting with the authorities/municipality leads & partners at the World Health Organization (WHO) supported Emergency Operation Centre in Al-Kufra, Dr Ahmed ZOUITEN said "Libyans have shown exceptional hospitality to the incoming Sudanese, yet the needs remain substantial, and every effort counts”.

خلال الاجتماع الذي جرى مع السلطات وقياديو بلدية #الكفرة والشركاء في مركز عمليات الطوارئ الذي أحدث بدعم World Health Organization (WHO) ، قال Dr Ahmed ZOUITEN ممثل منظمة الصحة العالمية في ليبيا " لقد أظهر الليبيون ضيافة استثنائية للسودانيين القادمين، إلا أن الاحتياجات ما تزال كبيرة، وكل جهد مهم ".

Considering the exceptional health conditions witnessed by Al-Kufrah municipality due to heavy rains and strong winds, today, WHO Libya delivered an urgent medical shipment to Al-Kufra municipality enough to cover the needs of #60000 people with health aid for 3 months.

The delivered supplies include essential medicine, trauma kits and emergency surgery supplies.

The airlifted supplies were handed over to the hospital, primary health care centres and mobile clinics. Providing these lifesaving supplies will be crucial in alleviating the suffering of Al-Kufra's people in need and the displaced Sudanese in the area.

نظراً للظروف الصحية الاستثنائية التي تشهدها بلدية الكفرة بسبب الأمطار الغزيرة والرياح القوية، أرسلت اليوم منظمة الصحة العالمية شحنة طبية عاجلة إلى بلدية #الكفرة تتضمن مساعدات طبية عاجلة تكفي لعلاج ما يقرب من 60 ألف شخص ولمدة 3 أشهر.

تشمل الشحنة أدوية أساسية ومجموعات طوارئ طبية لتدبير الإصابات والجراحات الطارئة. تم تسليم هذه الإمدادات المنقولة جواً إلى المستشفى ومراكز الرعاية الصحية الأولية والعيادات المتنقلة بالكفرة. ستسهم هذه الإمدادات المنقذة للحياة حتماً بتخفيف معاناة سكان الكفرة والأسر السودانية النازحة

اختتمت WHO Libya اليوم في #طرابلس ورشة عمل وطنية شاملة لتدريب مدربين لتعزيز القدرات الوطنية على للأطقم الطبية المتخصصة حول التحديد المورفولوجي للبعوض الناقل ل #الملاريا و #حمى_الضنك.

بتعاون مشترك بين WHO Libya و مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية في وزارة الصحة و إدارة الفئات الخاصة في وِزَارَةُ التَّرْبِيَةِ والتَّعْلِيم ، أقيم في #طرابلس على مدار هذا الأسبوع ورشتي عمل تثقيفيتين بهدف زيادة الوعي لدى الأطقم التعليمية حول آثار العنف على صحة التلاميذ

Dr Ahmed ZOUITEN , the World Health Organization (WHO) Rep. in Libya , together with Ms Georgette Gagnon - جورجيت غانيون the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator, conducted a field visit to Batta Village Hospital in the Green Mountain Coast Municipality.

During the visit, the delegation looked over the health services provided at the hospital, including its needs and priorities. They also observed the services offered by the World Health Organization (WHO)-provided mobile clinic and two ambulances delivered earlier to the hospital.

Dr Ahmed ZOUITEN said " I am thrilled to see how this rural hospital has recovered from the previous floods. Thanks to the Ministry of Health as well as World Health Organization (WHO) , it has been restored and became stronger than ever."

During the visit, Batta Village Hospital received a shipment consisting of life-saving medicines & treatments for chronic diseases, enough to serve 3,000 people for three months. These supplies were made available thanks to the support of EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid 🇪🇺
