The voodoo of last night's Saint John's Eve for us was specific. Celebrating the eternal ballet of life spinning into the arms of death. Our friend now joins the very spirit world he exalted with his drums while living and takes his place among the ancestors of the drum.

Kris was a unique sensation of crossover talent in musical genres, movies, and television. Perhaps his most underrated mantle, though, was as activist. He was a true activist when it was still a detriment to your career, but he never waivered. Total legend.

In the pantheon of super producers that moved the needle on numerous occasions, spanning musical genres, Quincy Jones stands alone. A legend that leaves a mark like few can.

He fixes drinks, takes care of the playlist, and likes tribal drums. This is the droid we've been looking for! 🤖
