NEWS: Malique Lewis, a 6'8 wing from Trinidad and Tobago, has signed with South East Melbourne Phoenix as part of the NBL Next Stars program. Lewis had a productive season with Mexico City Capitanes after being selected with the No. 1 pick in the G League international draft.

Nice few days at NBA Academy Games for New Zealand PF Oscar Goodman and C Julius Halaifonua. Goodman showed off his playmaking ability and outstanding feel, skill and physicality. Halaifonua a terrific passer at 7'1 who is skilled in the post, in PnR and even stretching floor.

First extended look at Oscar Wembanyama at the NBA Academy games. 6'8, 17-year old forward is at an early stage of development, but is a rangey defender who can make shots, plays with strong activity and shows nice flashes of passing ability. Good high end academic D1 candidate.

Excited to see the new format of UA Next Elite 24, just announced in Brooklyn August 10. Group of top international prospects will play vs Americans, and also practice in front of NBA teams at the Brooklyn Nets facility. Some very interesting guys already confirmed.

2025 combo Darius Adams was consistently excellent in scrimmages and drills at Nike Academy. Has terrific ball-skills and feel getting to the rim looking for contact and making shots from all over the floor. Has some real toughness. Seems to have made a nice jump this summer.

Tyran Stokes' combination of power, explosiveness and aggressiveness was tough to contain in the Nike Academy setting. Nearly unstoppable in the open court and has impressive passing and overall basketball instincts for a 16-year old.

First look at 2025 combo Davion Hannah at Nike Academy. Lot to like in terms of the physical tools, defensive intensity, toughness and flashes of playmaking/finishing creativity and shot-making. Someone to monitor.
