#ICYMI Earlier today I graced the #ANCFSlekgotla in Mangaung, Bloemfontein #Matimba #Amandla Lekgotla is an annual ANC - African National Congress meeting entrusted with assessing the strides made by government in implementing #ANCmanifesto as well as paving a strategic plan.

I learned with shock and sadness of the untimely passing of my comrade and sister, Edna Molewa. Cde Edna’s contribution to the fight for SA freedom can never be overstated. She has served our people in various capacities both in the ANC as a member of the NEC and the NWC...

and in her deployments at different spheres of government where she always showed her commitment and passion to serving our people.

Few of us have had their courage tested the way she did and we can confidently say that she was one of the tried and tested leaders of our movement. From my family to hers, her friends and comrades, I send our heartfelt condolences and support during this difficult time...

The country is indeed poorer without her. May her soul Rest In Peace. Hamba kahle Mbokodo
