Funny how much popular media up through the 1960's had little jokes about mouse holes in the wall. How many people in 2024 have homes where mice are chewing through the walls? Just one small example of the dramatic but often unacknowledged increase in living standards we've seen.

A less known reason for high city budgets (and less effective fire departments, as we saw in LA.) I think we all have seen and wondered why an articulated fire truck goes out to help when an elderly person needs help getting up.

If AI is so great, how come I can't paste someones address into the contacts of my iphone and it puts the street address, city, zip etc into the correct fields?
