this year taught me that there is magic in steps back, no shame in starting over and that movement happens in stillness. sometimes the most growth will occur when nothing seems to be happening, but every slow moment is preparing your hands to receive the blessings you deserve.

This lady at the gym had earphones connected to her phone and a whole iPad with a movie playing on high volume. I could hear the movie even with earphones on. I had to ask that she lower the volume. She was annoyed, but people have to be more considerate in communal spaces 😫

You should be a good person ONLY bc it’s the right thing to do. You will rarely get reciprocity. You can’t model good behavior in hopes of getting it back. Attempting to do so is manipulation. Having character is a choice, & often a lonely one. Be good bc you are good.
