Happy to read this about a colleague. When I read about her career course, it motivates me. It also reminds me of a lot of other people in my orbit too.

It’s easy to dunk in admin. in unis theses days. Much harder for Andy Armacost when forced to evacuate for a fire alarm right before a uni wide town hall. Instead of canceling, he grabs a laptop and other panelists and hosts it from his car! That is leadership in action. Bravo.

No job is worth giving up your mental health. I once stayed at a super toxic place for almost 2 years because I thought I had no choice. When I finally quit, all I could think was “I should have done that long ago.” It took another 2 years to mend my shattered confidence.

A really interesting piece on how stress effects public safety communication. Remember that these are the people who frame the problem for responding officers and are integral for keep officers safe. Truly interesting work that furthers the discussion.

Today was the hardest day I have had. We made the decision to put down my dog. He best person I have know. If I was half the person he thought I was, the world would be a better place. He was a source of support for many, and inspiration too. We will miss you so much, Boo-boo.
