We really really really need to stop using the term taxpayer money. It leads to misguided thinking. It's the real resources the money mobilizes that matter. If the private sector spends to mobilize the same resources the economic impact is the same, except that it wants a profit.

My comment on the tenancy reform Bill currently being debated in the NSW Parliament. Getting rid of 'no-grounds' evictions is the single most important reform in almost 40 years. But it is not perfect. blogs.cityfutures.unsw.edu.au/news/nsw-tenan…

This is incredible and detailed reporting about the level of unrestrained and frankly hate-filled destruction of civilian infrastructure and residential homes caused by a single Israeli battalion in Gaza dropsitenews.com/p/israel-749-b…

Chris Martin (@dr_chris_martin) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Excellent news that Victoria will abolish 'no-grounds' termination notices for all tenancies. Note, however, that they evidently mean 'no-grounds', not 'no-fault' evictions. For example, grounds will include LL moving in - which is no fault of tenant. premier.vic.gov.au/more-rights-me…
