Week 2 of the Principles of Aerospace Medicine course with UTMB Aerospace Medicine. So far been a joy to learn from leaders in the field, including pilot health, future tech to challenges of spaceflight and becoming an interplanetary species. Can't wait for the final week in Houston!
Six years ago I was in Melbourne, learning about space medicine for the first time. Now I am here on the Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine Humans in Space course as assisting faculty. Great to hear Robert Thirsk once again speak with such passion about his two voyages to orbit.

Goodbye appendix. Today marks my first day with antarctica.gov.au and the start of my preparation to overwinter at Davis Station for next season. Why the elective appendectomy? There is no evacuation possible or another doc on station to do it midwinter should I get appendicitis
