Perfect time to mention my short interview with Shai Davidai. I questioned him on his allegations on being connected to the chemical attacks against Palestinian Columbia students and students in general. The targeting and harassment of students at Columbia, mainly young women and

As a Barnard College graduate I am shocked & ashamed that it & Columbia University are violently crushing the right of students to peacefully protest.

This is not who we are. Both schools must immediately reinstate these students & protect their right to fight for a free Palestine.

If it doesn’t matter then some of those who attended shouldn’t try and twist themselves like matumbu ane guru to justify attending. Attend with your full chest & enjoy the show. Also we can’t rate our reaction to 3 years ago. Each year is different.

You have to fuck up on a truly historic level to get the NYPD to say “even we think these were meaningless arrests.” They love meaningless arrests!

Nope. China said it dropped interest-free loans that matured in 2015. No data.

~ Zimbabwe still owes China US$2bn (half is for Hwange power plant)
~ Zim owes Paris Club (Western countries) $3.9bn
~ Owes lenders (World Bank, AfDB, EIB) $3.1bn

Up to the gills in arrears, still.

This is incredible. World Bank comparison of how much a worker making $1,000 in Soweto keeps after taxes and transport costs vs a similar worker in Vietnam.

A damning indictment of both apartheid's spatial legacy and subsequent failures to expand public transport.

Morning Everyone! I’m reporting inside Columbia’s campus where students have simply rebuilt the encampment zone on the other lawn after yesterday’s sweep.

The original lawn, once a designated ‘free speech zone’ for students, is now just placeholder for construction cargo.
