A few educators have told me they plan to use A Work in Progress as their last read-aloud of the year. It’s thrilling to know kids will have a safe space to discuss body image, body shaming, eating, and more—and through fiction, which for many will be easier and more comfortable.

You might be a STEM teacher... if you have a student pull hair off your chin with tweezers to give them something else to use under a microscope. BTW, he ripped like 4 at once, no warning. The kids loved the white one the most. Ugh! #STEM
