Your Downey Fire Department have been busy! Oct. 9th kicked off the National Fire Protection Association’s Fire Prevention week. This year’s theme is cooking safety and we are visiting all DowneyUnified elementary schools this month to educate students about how to stay safe in the kitchen.

Downey Fire Department is working a Hazmat Incident @ CocaCola. All roadways West of Lakewood to Brookshire and North of Stewart & Gray to Firestone are closed. Please avoid the area. Currently, there are no additional evacuation orders in place. There are no injuries to report.
