A fantastic win for our Y5/6 Erewash_SSP football tournament yesterday. They beat 5 other schools to progress to the next round. The team represented the school excellently with their football skills and impeccable behaviour.

What a great way to start the British Science week!!! We were very lucky today to have Mr Chris Leese, an engineer by profession (working for TG Escapes), to come and do a STEM workshop with the Year 2s about building a structure to withstand a heavy object. #TGEScapes

TG Escapes also donated some special pencils to the year 2s that can be planted after you’ve used them and they grow into a tree. How amazing is that !! Thank you TG Escapes and Mr Chris Lesse.

We had a great session today in year 4, working with Derbyshire Cricket. And the sun was shining for us!

Year 4’s have had a lovely first afternoon at Mount Cook Adventure Centre and we even saw a hot air ballon tonight...Always aiming high!

There's been plenty of music in Dovedale recently, to cheer us up in this miserable weather! Our guitar group put on a wonderful concert for their parents to show off their musical talents! They made us all very proud.

Today we welcomed the Royal British Legion into school to mark remembrance with the children. They did a brilliant job observing the silence to reflect, and it was lovely to have relatives join us who have served for their country. Well done Dovedale ❤️
