Ambition drives us. Burnout often happens when we push ourselves to be something we’re not trying to conform to expectations or taking on more than we can handle. The key is knowing that you can achieve your goals without burning out.

“I’m not good enough.” “I could never do that.” These stories feel like facts. But they’re not. They’re beliefs. Excuses. Assumptions. And they are completely made up. You made it up in the first place, you're perfectly capable of replacing it with a different story.

Growth isn’t about doing the same thing over and over again. It’s about doing the hard things on purpose. Working on the difficult bits. Repeating them until they improve. Yes, it’s uncomfortable. But if you’re not uncomfortable, you’re probably not growing.

Here's a simple idea that could transform your team dynamic: “Just focus on one thing.” Multitasking? Not a thing. Not even for your laptop, it just switches between tasks very fast.

Change can be tough. But here’s the thing, resistance to change doesn’t have to be a roadblock. The trick isn’t in overcoming resistance, but in creating the conditions that allow people to embrace it. Start with trust.

I worked with someone recently who had no space to think beyond today. They were buried in the here and now. Sometimes the most strategic thing you can do… Is deal with the stuff that’s stopping you from even thinking straight.

To become a better leader, partner, manager, communicator - you’ve got to let go of something first. The good news is that what’s waiting on the other side is always worth it.

The difference between good and great leaders: Good leaders support their teams. Great leaders challenge them too. Growth doesn’t happen in comfort zones.

The question that unlocks everything: “What do you really want?” It’s a hard question. Because most of us don’t give ourselves permission to ask it. That’s why I use the 15 year vision. Because in 15 years, you can create pretty much anything. Even the life you really want.

Want a clearer head? Try this. Your brain is like your desk. If it’s full of clutter, it’s hard to find anything. For me, meditation helps. 20 minutes in the morning, 20 minutes in the evening. It calms the noise. Creates mental space. What helps you stay clear headed?

I had two clients in the last month tell me the same thing: “That conversation changed everything.” And you know what? I have no idea which bit of the conversation it was. That’s the beautiful thing about coaching. You never know what’s going to make the difference.

If you want to rediscover your curiosity… start with permission. Permission to explore something just because it’s interesting. Curiosity doesn’t always lead to answers. But it does lead to insight. Energy. And you can’t lead effectively if you’re stuck in one place.

Here's some advice I’d give my 20-year old self: Trust yourself. You know what to do. The wrong turns. The “failures” that weren’t really failures at all - just part of the journey. That’s what I tell clients now too. Trust yourself. Even when you don’t know the path.
