On this day, 54 years ago, the national guard fired bullets into a crowd of unarmed students, many of them teenagers, who were peacefully protesting the ongoing wars in Cambodia and Vietnam. The rounds killed 5 students on the scene, gravely wounding 9 others. How easy we forget.
