Tempo as a concept is ephemeral, non-permanent. You can only push the momentum so far before everything else catches up to you. More than anything else, Legends of Runeterra was Tempo.

Had the most minor of hopes, they're now gone. I'll play in a few last community tourneys in the new set (if I can) Can't imagine continuing with the game beyond that. I hope the single player model works for them, but I'm doubtful it will. It gets played bc its not monetized

Also if it needs to be said I have no doubt that the devs that worked on LoR gave their all every day. They're amazing, we had an amazing dev team who cared and engaged with the community and were 10/10. When I complain about Riot failings it's capital R Riot. It's the company

Question for the flesh and blood gamers: Is going to the pro tour to play side events worth? Parents live in la, so housing is covered, and it’s a days drive there. Are the side event prize pools reasonable? Idk how to evaluate 1200 tickets. Can I play limited the whole time?

Played in, and won my first flesh and blood tournament! Guess I’m going to nationals, that was fast. Played Katsu, deck good. 4-1 in Swiss, 2nd seed.

Go check out favor, it’s played/made by some of my favorite people in the LoR community, and it’s also a 10/10 banger board game.

Played my first #fab calling. Ended 5-3, had the win and in for day 2. Pretty happy with the results. Definitely a little on the low end with Katsu variance, but that’s what I signed up for. One loss from a full whiff, and one mid roll where I just missed my aows/surging.

Phoenix people didn’t come down for the pro quest this time, went 3-0 to take the win. Kinda felt like an armory with only 8 players, but still happy to get more shiny cardboard

Played my second pro quest, 24 players, so a much more substantial turnout. Made it to the finals on Katsu again, couldn’t take it down this time though. Had to lose my first t2 event eventually I guess. On a related note, what are the most hateful prism sideboard cards :)

Man I really respect LSS. They’re always showcasing the culture of the places they hold events. Osaka with Japanese style promos. Amsterdam with the equipment set. And now Florida with the book bannings
