I'd bet Sweeney did his due diligence and tested the market on Arvidsson and Peeke. The market was weird, high prices for unique skillsets (big, depth C's), low prices for others. I'd rather have an extra 2nd or 3rd rounder I guess, but I can't get upset at that.

Expecting Hagens to be a 1C off the bat is a lofty expectation, but I wouldn't be shocked if he's pretty quickly the Bruins best center. Not saying I'd force him into 1C, but curious to see how he compares to Lindholm, Zacha, Minten etc.

The Bruins have overperformed this season, but the TOR pick has offset it. Now with that pick likely gone, this year is step in the wrong direction. The Bruins don't need depth or complimentary players to finish the retool, they need the type of players who get drafted top 10.
