“The wealthiest 1% of the global population owns more than 95% of humanity combined…And yet the super-wealthy pay less tax than the working and middle class.” But Carney agrees with Trump to end the tax on Tech billionaires. Elbows up….for who?? news.un.org/en/story/2025/…

I am appalled by the deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The last lifelines for survival are being cut off. Without an urgent influx of fuel, incubators will shut down, ambulances will be unable to reach the injured and sick, and water cannot be purified. The United Nations has a clear

I was thrilled to meet Hector, one of the very first children who accessed the Canada Dental Care Plan negotiated by the NDP. New Democrats will always work to bring head to toe healthcare to every Canadian through our public system.

It's definitely time for a program review in Ottawa, but these are enormous numbers being floated out of Finance. The proposed spending reductions are equivalent to the huge cuts in the Chretien-Martin era and an order of magnitude greater than the Harper era spending cuts.

As interim leader I promised to deliver a timely review + renewal process for the NDP. I’m pleased to see it launched and led by Emilie Taman. I encourage all members, activists & progressive allies to add your ideas to build a vibrant, progressive federal party for Canada.

Carney ran against Trump’s ‘Conservative buddies,’ then governed as their collaborator. Military spending hikes, Big Tech tax cuts, and anti-Indigenous bills reveal the truth: his base was always capital, not Canadians. canadiandimension.com/articles/view/…

Today I was proud to stand in solidarity with striking Rogers workers in Abbotsford. Rogers is refusing to return to bargaining table and undermining the right to strike. The NDP will never stop fighting to ensure working people have their voices heard and their rights protected.

What has the Liberal government been doing for the last 10 years - ignoring the “red tape” holding back our economy?

Don Davies (@dondavies) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Campaign Carney: will “cap” public sector. PM Carney: will slash public sector. Result? Fewer good, unionized jobs, more expensive consultants, reduced services for Canadians. Classic Liberal government: signal left, turn right.

So happy to be at the Special Olympics BC Summer Games in Prince George. Athletes will compete in many sports, make friends and have fun! I’m especially proud of one Special Olympian - our Cerys, who is competing in swimming! As the slogan says: let your brilliance shine! 👍❤️🇨🇦

Donald Trump's latest threats are baseless, unfair and unacceptable. He's determined to hurt our economy. Appeasement hasn't and won't work. New Democrats call on the Carney govt to stand firm to defend Canada's sovereignty and support workers. cbc.ca/news/politics/…

Don Davies (@dondavies) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Conceding to a bully never ends. The Carney government should not give in to any more unilateral demands without an equal benefit from Trump.

Charting a successful path forward for Canada’s NDP means doing a thorough review of the past and engaging in a wide discussion of the opportunities ahead. Looking forward to an energizing, democratic exercise! ctvnews.ca/edmonton/alber…

CONGRATS to Unifor and all the workers at Amazon’s Delta facility for exercising their Charter right to organize. Shame on Amazon for interfering in their democratic right to join a union. This proves yet again how vital unions are to balance corporate power. ✊✊🏾

Donald Trump’s latest tariff threats will hurt Canadian workers. PM Carney promised "elbows up" during the election - Canadians expect him to keep that promise. New Democrats renew our call for the government to stand strong. Read my full statement here: ndp.ca/news/trumps-ne…
