“You can't eliminate racism by telling people don't be racist. What you can do is we can make our kids resilient.”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr

This statement by RFK Jr is tone-deaf at best. It’s as if the problem with racism is that Black kids aren’t tough enough to stand up to it. That

Look at the slippery slope. Trump argues that J6 wasn’t an insurrection but simply an unfortunate “riot.”

Now even that is a bridge too far. His sycophants in Congress now call J6 a “so-called riot.”

Again, every worst case scenario Citizens for Ethics prepared to address in Trump v. Anderson - states threatening to keep Biden off the ballot, widespread restrictions on protest or watering down the definition of insurrection - has been done by conservative politicians and judges anyway.

These are the same justices who didn’t have the courage to come out and say that they thought J6 wasn’t an insurrection in Trump v. Anderson and instead made up some state/federal officer enforcement distinction that e just a nowhere in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
