Excellent article including some great recommendations of historical fiction. If you’re wondering which book to read first from the list that Candy Gourlay compiled, make it Wild Song. It’s SUCH a moving, thought provoking and compelling book.
Historic Vids In 1922, a group of scientists went to the Toronto General Hospital where diabetic children were kept in wards, often 50 or more at a time. Most of them were comatose and dying from diabetic ketoacidosis.
