Faizal Mohamed Yeah it kind of is. But Apneic oxygenation is in Apneic patients alone. NODESAT is in both Apneic and spontaneously breathing ones. In anticipated difficult airways, we at times preserve spontaneous ventilation and intubate using VL/FOB after topicalisation/minimal sedation.

Arghhhh. This is my favourite lately. I have been flexing on it. It's called 'RESUSCITATIVE HYSTEROTOMY' or 'RESUSCITATIVE UTERINE EVACUATION'. Love how the name prioritizes maternal outcomes over delivery of the fetus. The concept behind changing the name is beautiful too!!

Occasional reminder that when you take on a surgical case, you should be able to deal with *all* of the things that could potentially happen. Being able to perform the straightforward, ‘YouTube’ version of the case is NOT enough. People forget this and they get in trouble.
