I was a children's doctor
I left medicine in 2019
A story of burnout & mental illness.
I miss the sense of belonging,
The wonderful nurses who enabled me to do my job,
They had my back,
They helped me learn.
So to each & every one of them,
Thank you.

Very excited to read this.
I've had many experiences both as a dr and a patient, where a trauma-informed approach could have changed everything.
Dr Karen Treisman, MBE, Clinical Psychologist, this is a much needed resource. Thank you
It is an obvious thing but often gets overlooked
Keeping hydrated & making it a priority is vital
Going further to supply it for free shows how much you care about their needs
(Especially for rotating staff who can’t keep bringing tea/coffee/milk everywhere) Basic Needs at Work 💛🧡 ☕️
This was the best conference I've ever been to.
A catalyst for me finding my voice and sharing my story.
It would be amazing to meet some of you there this year...

I love of writing.
I don't do enough of it though.
Each month, Curtis Brown Creative provide a different writing prompt.
A scene in a tweet.
It's great fun & I learn lots from other entries.
Worth a look if you enjoy putting pen to paper.
