After engaging with US Army veterans in the comments, I think I might have to issue a correction here. These guys do/should know how to march and could have if they wanted to. They probably just didn't care about this parade at all and put in zero effort.

I've marched in more military parades than I even care to remember. Probably watched dozens more as a spectator. And this is easily the worst and sloppiest marching I've ever witnessed at a formal military parade. It feels like a big "fuck you" to Trump from the soldiers.

Unironically the best advice we could ever give to young autists and young people is unapologetically stick with your niche hobbies and interests no matter what because you have NO idea what the future holds. All those things that are currently cringe today could be full careers

None of them will be here in 15 years, but the rest of us will still be paying the consequences of the decisions these imbeciles are making today.

it's crazy how medicaid, food stamps, and poor people spike the federal debt every time we bail out failing banks, hand massive subsidies and tax cuts to corporations, or see a speculative bubble collapse - just crazy

There is a toxic type of person to avoid— the kind obsessed with hierarchy, constantly ranking everyone: net worth, IQ, number of publications, academic titles & citations, cycling FTP, 5K running speed, education, etc. They are miserable & want you to be miserable too.

He steered us out of a depression is what he did! He was a practical central banker. And in this house Jerome Powell is a hero- end of story.

Sheel Mohnot It started because a guy literally tried to detonate explosives in his shoes. Back then, we didn’t have today’s scanners. It may feel like theater now but it wasn’t when the policy was introduced.

Most of these studies are quackery but I do believe this one is true because the political Left disagrees mostly on when and how the state should do things instead of the market, while the political Right has yet to come to a consensus on the shape of this planet
