The Task team leader for GROW Project at the World Bank Serena Cavicci and Dr. Ruth Kasolo the GROW project Coordinator Private Sector Foundation Uganda met the project beneficiaries at the international Labour Celebration Nakapiripirit for the entire Karamoja subregion.

Hon. Betty Amongi indicated that as per the Mastercard Global index, Uganda stands tall in Africa with Women in business ownership at 40%, GROW project is playing a vital role in improving access to finance for Women Entrepreneurs. #InnovationExpo4GROW

This session moderated by Moses Ogwapus, the commissioner of financial services Ministry of Finance explored what it meant to place women at the center of business strategy, highlighting special financing programs for women entrepreneurs. #InnovationExpo4GROW

The Access to Finance Specialist, Paul Nuwagaba indicated that repayment of the Grow Loan is based on the cash flow structure of the woman entrepreneur and has a maximum repayment period of 2 years. Over Ugx 363bn has so far been disbursed through the partner banks.
