Super proud to share that Oscar Arroyo, a UNC Genetics PhD PhD student in my lab has been awarded a prestigious HHMI Gilliam fellowship. We are both looking forward to working with #GilliamFellows program to promote inclusive graduate training. Congratulations, Oscar!!

Huge shout out to Angela Piñon a TAMU Biology student who just completed a summer undergraduate research experience in my lab thru unc_sure_summer. I have every expectation that we will be hearing more from Angela in the future. She’s a terrific scientist! We’ll miss you!!
