With the shift going away this year, middle infield defense and teams that lack good defenders are going to be exposed. Overpaying at shortstop last year might be about right now if they are gold glove level.
Whew! That was one of those games that you donāt usually pull out when luck looks like itās not on your side in the 2nd half. Hope Stroud is okay. Looked like he was hurting after that big hit he took.
My favorite part of the off-season is watching so many freak out when a player is signed by another team to what looks like a bad contract. I'm kidding, it actually drives me crazy.
So many baseball writers are idiots with their own agenda. Just look at the merits and vote accordingly. These ridiculous rationalizations they make for not voting for obviously qualified players is embarrassing.
Shanahan was awfully conservative in this game. At least 2 4th downs where he should have gone for it vs kicking the field goal. You just donāt give Mahomes the ball with a chance to win.
I think it's funny how Rangers fans get all bent out of shape about Garcia and steroids accusations when they know if he were an Astro and had that same transformation they'd be say the same thing (and we'd probably be denying it). š¤£š¤£
So many thought Bregman would get out to a hot start being a contract year but so far it's the same old slow start and Alvarez doesn't look like himself at the plate. Add 1 hit Abreu to the mix and the top 1/2 of the lineup is a mess at the plate.
Okay, I get it. He broke a rule and ejection is an option for the umpire. That's way too subjective though. How does an umpire decide to let a pitcher change his glove in one game and another immediately eject a pitcher in a different game? Should be consistent league-wide.
