As for callousness and insensitivity, consider that less than an hour after the last layoff meeting was held, The Philadelphia Inquirer sent out an internal email announcing job openings. inquirer.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=…
To our striking colleagues Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh 🗞 we The NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia are with you and are on the lookout for this union foe The Philadelphia Inquirer . We know him and his lack of spine well.

Couldn't come to Burbank without expressing solidarity for striking @WGAWes . Writers are invaluable and deserve to be compensated for that talent. The NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia stands with you.

Today the unfortunate has happened. Gannett greed has forced journalists at papers across the country to strike. This company is a huge threat to local journalism and thus democracy. We The NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia stand with Gannett Workers United #gannettgreed #fairpaygannett
I wave with reverence to the building each time I take off and land at LAX. What a disgrace the path to future excellence is cutting talent 2 weeks after winning Pulitzers. Shame on Dr. Soon-Shiong. The NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia supports L.A. Times Guild 🦅 💪 latimes.com/entertainment-…
This is what solidarity and believing in and fighting for your value gets you. The NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia congratulates all Insider Union ✊ members! Well done.
Head down was his normal posture at The Philadelphia Inquirer , especially when he would skulk out each day and have to walk past the tote board that counted down how many days we had gone without a raise. He is no advocate for his workers! Stay strong Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh 🗞 !
I join you Gillian McGoldrick in celebrating the The NewsGuild of Greater Philadelphia contract with The Philadelphia Inquirer with a donation to our suffering, gritty, brave friends Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh 🗞 . Shame on Stan Wishnowski and the Post-Gazette owners who only value themselves, not their employees.
Another PHLAirport failing, not opening @tsa precheck until 4:30 am at Terminal C even though flights out of this terminal board at 4:20. We are lined up staring at TSA agents who won't open early. What sense does this make?
My colleague Will Bunch @willbunch.bsky.social urges journalists to use "the keyboard as a weapon to fight for democracy instead of dispassionately reporting, evenhandedly, on its slow death." inquirer.com/opinion/commen…
Wednesday is Hump Day but there's something even more exciting about this day of the week: a new The Philadelphia Inquirer newsletter with so much important insight on health care. Do your body a favor and sign up! inquirer.com/newsletters/he…
May this be the much-needed step to forcing this inhumane employer to end this devastating strike that was so easily avoidable. So proud of the moral fortitude of Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh 🗞
Shame on you The Philadelphia Inquirer You have done such damage today
Living a Seinfeld episode...45 mins after my EnterpriseRentACar reservation, still no car and no answers as to when to expect one. This has become a common occurrence. So much for holiday plans.
