Discussions are being held about the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction #BBNJ with Fondation Tara Océan, our scientists & a delegation of Nations Unies (ONU) negotiators.

Congratulations to Belize on ratifying the #BBNJ agreement! This is of great relevance to us at BlueActionFund as we are currently working with regional partners on future projects that will provide significant funding for marine conservation. #30x30

Today, the DOALOS #BBNJ workshop considered how science and scientists can contribute to the #HighSeasTreaty , recognising the need to mobilise people to deliver from discovery through to governance and literacy in support of such an important, universal agreement.
