Repurposed the old Greencube gear a little bit and checked out the 70cm FTx contest this evening. Really crazy that I could hear 3-4 more stations that could hear me... Seems they all run QRO so I could not reach them with my 50W and 15 ele. OD(R)X was GM4 in IO86 1050 km (656mi)

Inspired by Gavin s great VHF work I tried the last 3 days with either my 5ele ELK or 4ele ANjo (both LPDA). Handheld on 2m broomstick or tripod depending on the window I used or balcony. ODX wkd G7RAU 886km (handheld). I was heard 1800km/1129miles away in ES/SM. 53 QSO on 2m.
