An exciting and busy week for our Cathays girls with four netball fixtures and our Y11 girls into the finals of the basketball Welsh Cup ☺️🏐🏀

A fantastic day at the #JNBA Basketball Wales | Pêl-Fasged Cymru event today. Our year 8's competing as the Charlotte Hornets won 3 from 3 to qualify for the Finals Day in Aberystwyth on 15th June. Isaias B also won MVP for the day! This Cathays High School team now have 18 wins and 0 losses this year!

Lovely afternoon of football to remind us what grassroots sport is all about. Despite WillowsHighCardiff coming up second best against a dominant Cathays High School, all involved were a credit to their schools. Good natured match with plenty of smiles. #sportforenjoyment #funinthesun

Thank you to Fitzalan P.E. Dept for hosting netball games twice this week. A loss for our Y9s and a win for our Y7s. Star players were: Mariam (Y9) and Skye and Maize (Y7) Well done all ☺️🏐

We had so much fun today. First Cardiff school to take part in the girls 3x3 festival with Cardiff Met Archers The girls worked so hard and made us very proud! 🏀 A huge thank you to Archers for having us 🤩

Now this is what I love Cardiff Metropolitan University! Welsh Government Education School pupils coming back in to campus and in to Modules slowly, but we have over 300 on campus with our L5 students having fun in a range of sports! A great day for our Cathays High School Year 8 boys at the Urdd Gobaith Cymru Rugby 7's competition today. We lost all 4 matches but were competitive in 3 of them, just losing out in the last few minutes of each. 10 tries scored in total and some outstanding performances! Emad W was fantastic!

Been a cracking few days at the 7 Bob Ochr Urdd WRU 7s rugby with the Cathays High School Y7 and Y9 boys. We played against some absolute class teams, it was great to see the boys learning as the games went on. They never gave in and did the school proud! More importantly they all had big smiles! 🏉

Absolutely amazing effort from these boys today!! Big shout out to @mrjallen1 for taking them. What an opportunity for them to represent the school Cathays High School! Also a big thanks to the 7 Bob Ochr Urdd WRU 7s again for making it possible. 🏉 #OpportunitiesforAll

Really enjoyable first cricket match for Cathays High School two years yesterday for Year 8 against Add Gorff YGBM Thanks for a great match and the positive comments about our team and captain, really appreciated. We are looking forward to the Year 9 match next week already!

An odd feeling driving in to Cathays High School for the last time today. I have had an amazing 8 years here and genuinely enjoyed everyday. Looking forward to a new challenge come September! Thanks to all staff who have supported me and most of all to the incredible students! Diolch.
