Sometimes people don't appreciate just how large bald eagle nests are. This one I took a picture of in Florida.

We visited Southern Utah’s public lands and collected trash to keep these beautiful spaces clean. With help from the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we disposed of it properly. "Eagle" isn't a genetic term; it's based on the size of their prey. Eagles first evolved around 36 million years ago. They are defined by their powerful build and hunting ability, not by genetics.

I love visiting lighthouses, and it’s become a fun family tradition for us. My favorite lighthouse is in Jupiter, Florida. Not only is it beautiful, but it also means diving adventures nearby, which I absolutely love!

I love exploring lighthouses with my family, and this one is a gem! Its picturesque setting and classic design make it a perfect spot for a peaceful visit. This is a picture I took of the Point Pinos Lighthouse.

I captured this Common Loon on a serene day. These amazing birds are expert divers, capable of reaching impressive depths in search of fish.

I snapped this photo of two Turkey Vultures perched on a fence. Vultures are fascinating creatures with a long evolutionary history. They evolved around 40-50 million years ago, adapting to efficiently clean up our ecosystems by feeding on carrion.

I captured this stunning red-shouldered hawk perched on a wire. Hawks first evolved around 30-40 million years ago, with the earliest fossil evidence dating back to the Eocene epoch.

I captured this elk standing tall on a hillside. Elk first evolved around 2 million years ago during the Pleistocene epoch.

I captured this Red-tailed Hawk perched on a post. These hawks have fascinating plumage variations, with different color morphs ranging from light to dark. Their distinct red tail feathers make them easily recognizable.

Sea stars, or Asteroidea, have evolved over 450 million years, showcasing unique adaptations like radial symmetry and remarkable regenerative abilities. These traits have enabled them to thrive in diverse marine environments, from shallow coral reefs to the deep sea.

Bats evolved around 50 million years ago. Their wings, adapted from forelimbs, and echolocation abilities have allowed them to diversify into over 1,400 species, occupying niches from insect predation to fruit pollination across the globe.

Utah has several sites where you can see fossilized dinosaur footprints, including Dinosaur Ridge in St. George, Mill Canyon near Moab, and the Red Fleet State Park near Vernal. These sites offer a glimpse into the ancient landscapes where dinosaurs once roamed. #FossilFriday

Dinosaur tracks form when animals walk on soft sediment like mud or sand, leaving impressions that later dry and harden. Over time, these tracks are buried by sediment and fossilize under the right conditions, preserving them for millions of years.
